Learn at Willow.
Willow offers training for selected doctoral-level assessment practicum students and post-doctoral fellows with an interest in our specialty areas. For practicum students, we follow APPIC guidelines. We are a highly selective site, usually taking only one or two students each year. Selected students are provided with supervision from several of our psychologists, and learn to administer and interpret cognitive, personality, and neuropsychological assessments during the practicum year.
Our selection procedure typically involves three steps: (1) review of application materials, (2) individual interviews with one or more of our staff members, and (3) a group interview. Fewer individuals are invited to each succeeding step. For our initial application, we require:
- A current resume
- Three letters of recommendation
- A representative testing report from the WISC-IV or WAIS-IV, with all identifying information removed.
- A current transcript
We pay special attention to the applicant's ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.
