Jen Haughey, LCPC
Jen Haughey is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Jen works with both individuals and couples. Her specialties include relationships, life and career transitions, serious illness, caregiving, depression, anxiety, and personal development.
Jen believes in a highly collaborative and holistic approach to healing. She is particularly focused on helping you discover where fear may be holding you back or causing you to feel stuck, and how to reconnect with who you want to be in your life and your relationships. She works with you to help you gain insight into what is most meaningful to you in each area of your life. She believes this process begins with kindness and self-compassion and allowing yourself the time and space to heal and grow. Jen incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness interventions in her therapeutic approach.
Jen teaches mindfulness and stress reduction classes at Willow Wellness Center. She has worked with individuals impacted by serious illness and developed and taught the course "Healing from Cancer: Values-Based Living." Prior to her career as a psychotherapist, Jen worked in corporate human resources, holding organizational leadership roles in a variety of industries over a period of twenty years.
