Individual psychotherapy is all about healing in ways that are unique to the client. The work includes personal growth and development, and can be as broad as philosophy and spirituality, or as specific as learning a new tool to manage anxiety. Some therapy is completed in just a few sessions, and other times healing can take months - it depends on the issues that are being addressed and the outcomes that are desired.
At Willow, we do therapy in a variety of ways, from exploring the themes that make up your individual story to working on new ways to experience personal thoughts and feelings. Making changes in your life can take time and hard work. It requires real effort to be vulnerable with yourself and with your therapist.
Couples therapy is also approached in different ways, but there are many commonalities between approaches. Your therapist will be interested in improving your communication, your emotional expression, and the practicalities of your life together. If there is healing that needs to be done due to an affair or another kind of disconnection, then that will be a high priority. We can also assist with issues involving parenting concerns and other stresses of family life.
Finding the Therapy You Want
Our therapists do not all work in the same fashion. If you know the type of therapy that you want, we will match you up with one of our therapists who can provide it. If you know what you don't want, tell us that, too - we want to give you the best possible experience. The staff at Willow are all compassionate and caring people who will work to make you feel better as quickly as possible.
